With the 31 Race Circuit just around the corner in the UK, spring sailing came to an end at the weekend - hopefully the weather has too.

Simon Perry and team on Jiraffe have been stand out performers over the winter winning the Hamble Winter Series and RORC Easter Challenge - including best looking boat/concours d'elegance at Easter.

They ticked the final few boxes at the weekend coming away with the Warsash Spring Series IRC1 Trophy as well as the Cape 31 Championship Trophy. What a way to start the season!

Simon is one of the founding owners of the Cape 31 Class in the UK bringing Hull #9 in from South Africa. He has been working hard on putting together a winning recipe since then and seems to be starting to hit the spot.

Let's hope Simon and team carry on their form into the 31 Race Circuit which kicks off in a few weeks. We look forward to seeing the teams lining up.

Round 0 Training Regatta will be next weekend (7th/8th May) at the first Royal Southern Summer Regatta of the year before the points start to matter and the season really kicks off with Round 1 at the RORC Vice Admiral's Cup (19th-21st May).
